Cookies on this site

This site currently uses only cookies strictly necessary for its operation (for example, remembering the language chosen for the legal pages or display preferences), which do not require consent under Romanian Law 506/2004. If we introduce analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) or advertising cookies, they will be activated only after obtaining your prior consent through a dedicated banner.

Please read the information below carefully: completely disabling cookies in your browser may prevent some websites from working properly.

What is a cookie?

A web cookie (browser cookie) is a small piece of text consisting of a label (name), text and an activity time (lifetime). It is installed in a device's browser when a site is accessed and provides information to that site when the user returns to that web page.

A cookie is not a program; it does not contain viruses, malware or trojans, and it does not request or store personal information. In general, cookies store account identifiers, access IDs, identification keys, etc.

Advantages of cookies

  • fast interaction between the user and the website;
  • storing privacy preferences;
  • the site language;
  • the shopping cart;
  • targeted advertising.

Lifetime

The website can define a cookie's lifetime according to its role. These cookies can be deleted by the user at any time from the browser settings.

Protecting personal information

Cookies are sometimes used for harmful purposes as well. If an attacker positions themselves between the user and the website while the user is on an unencrypted channel, the attacker can obtain the information in the cookie and later use it for their own purposes.

It is important to keep your browser settings at the correct security level to avoid such incidents.

Disabling cookies and security

Do not disable cookies, as you will lose access to most websites. Make sure your browser is updated to its current version, and keep a good, licensed antivirus running, which can protect you against abusive cookies. You can choose your preferred privacy level from your browser settings.

If you are not the only user of the device, we recommend setting cookies to be deleted when the current browser session is closed, to prevent another user of the same device from accessing your personal information.

Your data and GDPR rights

SC FIVE CYBER HOST SECURITY SRL ("Five-Host") is the data controller for personal data processed through this website and our services. We process account details (name, e-mail, billing information), service and network data required to deliver and secure your hosting, and standard technical logs such as IP addresses for security and abuse prevention.

Data is used to provision and support your services, process payments, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations and communicate important service notices. We never sell your personal data.

Under the GDPR you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to certain processing. Contact us at support@five-host.com; you may also complain to the Romanian supervisory authority (ANSPDCP).

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected for: account and billing data — for the duration of the contractual relationship plus the legal archiving term for financial-accounting documents (currently 5 years under Romanian fiscal law); technical and security logs (including IP addresses) — as a rule no longer than 12 months, unless needed to investigate incidents or abuse; support correspondence (tickets) — for the lifetime of the client account. When these terms expire, data is deleted or anonymised.

Data recipients

Data may be shared only with categories of recipients strictly necessary to run the services: payment processors, DDoS protection and network infrastructure providers, domain registries (ROTLD, EURid, eNom/ICANN — only for domain orders) and public authorities where required by law. We never sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
